This movie was insane. As you could probably tell from my recently reviewed movies, I don't often venture into this type of film lets just say. Regardless, I found this movie to be so entertaining and I really did love it. It's my first Tarantino film, and definitely not my last because of just how unique it was. The style of cinematography and some of the shots I just kind of paused and stared at because of how amazing they were. And the music and the change into anime style and the cool light board and silhouette effects were so awesome to look at. Also the fact that this was a late night movie like I started it around midnight made it even more crazy and satisfying to watch. I especially liked how there was always something going on. There was no downtime and there was never really more than a few quick minutes of developing before another action scene. I sometimes get bored during certain movies that take too long to set the scene, but this film is not at all boring. It was also the first really ultra-violent movie I have seen that wasn't a horror movie. Also the kills were occasionally overexaggerated which did bring comedy to the movie. Like the scenes were the blood would like explode or the scene with the doctor in the hospital. The movie kind of checked all of the boxes including action, comedy, suspense, and uniqueness. I would give it a 9/10.

This movie was SICK. It was a classic from Dreamworks. The overall concept of the plot I thought was really cool and unique, and I loved the like strangely emotional parts of it. I thought the dog was a great character as well like perfect comic relief. But Puss getting over his pridefulness and coming to terms with himself and his life I thought was a dope concept that I think was very effective and entertaining for both a children and adult audience. Also I loved how Crawford used the imagery of the star and how we all want more from our lives for ourselves, when we have it all right in front of us to begin with. This movie I think was essentially perfect for what it was and I recommend it to anyone who grew up loving shrek because this is the first dreamworks movie that I watched since Shrek 1 that really just hit differnet.
Wow. 9.8/10 movie. This movie was incredible. I have no idea why I have never gotten to watch it because it's been recommended to me so many times from so many people. My favorite part of this movie was not just the plot or the amazing CGI designs, but more of just the thoughts and emotions I experienced during and after watching it. For me, this was one of those "holy crap, this movie changed my life" sort of films. It for some reason just hit incredibly hard and I think it was because it was the perfect time to watch it. I can only really remember having this feeling when I saw infinity war in theatres when I just thought, wow that was a crazy ride. This movie is definitely a masterpiece thanks to the amazing work of Christopher Nolan. To the soundtrack, the graphics, the design, the set, the suits, the cast; To me, it was all perfect. I don't see a movie like this ever being topped in the world of sci-fi space/time movies. (ps: the transition from going Ninja Turtles to this is making me go insane.)
This movie was good, but could of been better. I absolutely loved the artwork and animation style that was used. It reminded me of spider-verse with the uniqueness of animation, and it was satisfying to watch at times. I think it was a good balance of animation style though because if they tried harder it would seem like they are trying to copy Spider-Man in that way. I also really liked the color scheme and the camera shots were surprisingly good. The storyline was good, but just good. I was annoyed that the villain was some random fly and introduced the actual original villain, Shredder in the end of the movie for a sequel. My main complaint however is how the movie tried too hard to be socially relevant as it used social media terms and jokes that got old as they were consistently brought up. Also, there was a "milking" joke that was way overused and was funny the first time, but not the 8th. So even though I have complaints of the details, I think overall it was a fine movie and was visually pleasing. I would rate it a 7.0/10
My rating for this movie would be an 8.5/10. I overall really enjoyed watching this movie. I'm kind of confused as to why I hadn't watched it before because there really is no age restricting scenes or anything and its a classic movie. This movie really feels like it kicked off the sort of school rebel vibe movies. And I grew up watching a lot of those sort of films like diary of a wimpy kid and reading big nate and like other books around the time of elementary school and early middle school. Even though it made me reminded of the kid movies and books, I still found it entertaining and even though I hadn't watched it before it kind of gave me a sense of nostalgia. I only really took off any points because it feel like a movie I maybe should of seen like at age 12 or 13, but it was still a really fun movie to watch. I liked the culture and like the music and clothes as well. It was definitely a movie I needed to watch especially after watching Lost in Translation the week before. It was for sure another drastic change in genres which I really enjoy for some reason just because of the different emotions and feelings I get out of it. Thanks for reading my blog! (I plan to watch Martian or TMNT next week so we'll see.)
