This movie was so dope. It just had so much culture. I loved the restaurant, the literal infinite cinematography techniques I could easily notice, and I thought the way Tarantino organized the movie was masterful. This movie was one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen. I never was once bored because it required so much attention and focus because of the way the plot and stories bounced around. I don't think it was too confusing too, it was the perfect balance. And I mean come on. Uma Thurman, Sam Jackson, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, and the rest? Uma Thurman going from killing people in kill bill to dancing on stage at a 50s restaurant was wild. I will say the overdose scene did slightly gross me out, but it wasn't too too bad. This casting was immaculate and each person fit their role so so well. I also want to say that I loved the music. There were multiple times the characters were dancing or I was dancing while watching the movie. I think the message was like karma, getting what you deserved, and then also redeeming yourself. Jules wants to retire while Vincent wants to keep going, which leads to his death. Also Butch doesn't fall to the temptation and redeems himself, wins the fight, makes a ton of money, and then eventually gets away. This movie was AWESOME. Easy 9.4/10.

The world is yours. I thought this movie was good. It was real fun to watch because it was just crazy 24/7 and the violence was both exciting but also really graphic and constant. It was a pretty heavy movie, lots of death, drugs, and failure. It reminded me of wolf of wall street as well as war dogs as they all have similar premises. Drug lords/people who sell illegal things make a run for money and riches, don't find much fulfillment in success, and eventually let their guard down and get caught. I think this movie would of been better to watch before wall street and war dogs because it seems like it is the foundation film for these. Tony Montana is a very exciting character to watch because of his powerful personality. You want him to succeed, but also you want him to fail. The movie really plays with you, gets your empathy, and then slowly loses you as Tony slowly loses himself. Not totally my type of movie, but I respect it and was able to geek out in the story and action as well as some comedy. I think I'd give it a 8.5/10. I thought this movie was a pretty good film. It wasn't amazing, but it was definitely satisfactory. It is pretty much a movie about two old friends who get back together and pull off a arms dealer wolf of wall street. SPOILER: They eventually get caught. I did like the movie though because it really didn't need any flashy or crazy sets or effects to work. AND IT WAS FUNNY! Jonah Hill is the best and he fit his role so well. Miles Teller I think was fine, I just wish he could of been funnier or not funny at all like the Jonah Hill- Seth Rogan relationship in superbad. The pacing was really good too. I never felt like the plot was rushing or developing too fast, and this is something I think is very easy to get wrong as a director. The comedy and suspense helped make me never bored. It came out in 2016 but I'm glad I didn't see it until after i was able to watch wolf of wall street this year. So to summarize I think this movie is well paced, laugh out loud funny, but also has good action. 8.4/10
Ok this movie was very hard to rate. I was disappointed with Venom 2018 as many other people were, but at the same time I didn't hate it. I think this movie didn't really have a lot to work with, and I think they did the best they could. The lack of spiderman in this series of movies is terrible and makes these movies unpopular. The way they introduce venom and don't mention any other heroes or villains that we already know exist in this world is frustrating to say the least. I do like the comedy and the ant-man, deadpool sort of funny marvel. Things I did like were the visuals and the way venom and carnage looked. I just wanted more of venom and more of Eddie and it felt like too much of this short movie was focusing on the backstory of the bad guy and his stupid girlfriend who I honestly DONT care about. Venom is a sick character, don't get me wrong. I just think they need to come back to this concept in 5-10 years and come up with a new storyline that does include Spider-Man to make it feel like a real marvel movie. Venoms not a superhero, and he's not a villain and him having his own 2 movies just isn't necessary. Include a real villain that isn't just other symbiotes, because to me at least it isn't as fun as having a villain who has something else to watch when fighting and has unique powers. This movie was a 5.9/10
Spellbound really surprised me. This movie was really entertaining and I honestly didn’t expect it to be just because I mean its pretty old and I don’t often watch older movies. I loved the mystery aspect to it and the end with Dr. Murchison was really crazy and fun to watch. I really liked the scene where the screen turns red when there is a gunshot. I love the dream scene, and the cinematography is amazing especially for this time period. Hitchcock’s cameo I decided to look up before the movie so that I could find it and he was in the hotel lobby holding a violin case and was smoking a cigarette. I would definitely recommend this movie and I wish we could of watched it in class so that everybody could of seen it. I was entertained, it was fun, it was innovative, and the mystery element of it was very pleasing. I also think the ending was perfect but expected as a kiss at the end was what the audience knew was going to happen. I’m gonna give it a 8.3/10.
